Police, the CID and the building inspector were sent to 16 Aborn St., at 5:15 p.m., for a motor vehicle into a light pole and then a house. There were no injuries, but the driver, a Salem resident, was summonsed for negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Police made a motor vehicle stop at 6:25 p.m., in the vicinity of Tremont and Mt. Vernon streets and arrested the driver. Andrew Jimenez, 27, of 28 Merrill Ave., Lynn, was charged with possession of a Class B drug; possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute, subsequent offense, and possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute, subsequent offense. A K9 was requested from Manchester, and Jimenez’ vehicle was towed to the station for the K9 drug search.


Officers were sent to Walls of Decor, 515 Lowell St., at 6:55 p.m., for an intoxicated man wearing a green baseball hat, a blue hoodie and khaki shorts, stumbling in the roadway. An officer was going to go by the man’s home to see if anyone was home. Evidently, there was not , as the 49-year-old man was placed into protective custody.

Officers were called to Lowell and Endicott streets, just before 8 p.m., for a four-car motor-vehicle accident with possible injuries. There were no injuries, but one female was given a ride to Tremont Street and two vehicles were towed. There were no citations.

An officer was called to the Outback Steakhouse, 300 Andover St., at 9:15 p.m., for a male behaving strangely toward the females and making inappropriate comments. He left before the officer arrived, but the manager was advised to call police immediately should he return.

An officer was sent to Rescue Motors, 55R Walnut St., to assist the merchant with a person dumping trash. A man who appeared to be living out of his car had been sleeping overnight in the parking lot, and the owner has requested additional checks be made during the night.

A Pitman Road woman called police at 8:25 p.m., to complain that landscapers were blowing leaves into the street from a property they were being paid to clean up. She declined to give police her name or address as she didn’t want to be known or have her name in the paper. The landscaper said they were going to clean up everything before they finished.

Police arrested a Lynn man after a 6:45 a.m. motor vehicle stop in the vicinity of Cabot Street and County Way. Arrested was Edgar A. Martinez, 29, 11 Walter St., Lynn, and he was charged with operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license.

A Lynn woman was arrested after a 9:20 a.m. motor vehicle stop in the vicinity of 2 Cabot St. Police arrested April Marie Dow, 35, of 26 Commercial St., Lynn. She was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle; operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker and on an outstanding other-department arrest warrant.

A Salem woman was arrested after a 4:55 p.m. motor vehicle stop in the vicinity of 268 Washington St. Arrested was Jajaira Correa, 35, of 7 Rainbow Terrace, Salem. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and with operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker.

Police were sent to Walgreen’s, 29 New Derby St., at 6:45 p.m., for a disturbance. They arrested Judith Lynn Carpentier, 39, of 58 Margin St., Salem. She was charged with disorderly conduct, subsequent offense; and with having an open container of alcohol in public in violation of a municipal by-law or ordinance.

A Salem male was arrested after a 7 p.m. traffic stop in the vicinity of Lafayette and Dodge Streets. Randy Dilone Espinal, 18, of 44 Park St., Apt. 4, Salem was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and with operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker.

Police arrested a North Andover man after a motor vehicle stop at 9:20 p.m.in the vicinity of 44 Prince St. Arrested was Jaime Xavier Pena, 24, of 11 Royal Crest Drive, Apt. 11, North Andover. He was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and with operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker.
